Your Two Cents: Shout Outs From???

Hi everyone!
It's been over a year since I've joined KBS World and tool over the reins of KPI and joined the duo of KPC with DJ Young.

I know we've gained (and I'm sure LOST..lol) a lot of listeners over that period of time so I thought this week, we'd give shout outs from wherever country, group, fan club, etc. you represent!

Before, our listeners were dominantly from other parts of Asia, but these days, I'm seeing more and more feedback from the US, Canada, South America, Australia, Europe, etc.

So go ahead and let me know where you're tuning into us from!!! Perhaps even how you found out about us!

Thanks and see you guys on air :)

  3. Hi Angie! dunno if i mentioned this at some point or not, but i'm your lonely listener here in Kansas, USA :D
There are so many people that listen to KPI/KPC from the US, but none of them seem to be from my area of the country. If there's any other Kansans out there, SPEAK UP! :P

And we're not really an official fan group, but i'd really like to send a shoutout to the Beautiful Korean Men group on Facebook. Whether we're talking about the latest kpop hairstyles, discovering new favorite actors, or drooling over old pictures of Rain, we all have a good time talking, and everyone's so supportive of each other, whether someone's looking for a new job, or preparing for school exams. I LOVE YOU BKM MEMBERS! You always make my day! <3

  4. Hi!!! I'm from Guatemala. Two years ago a friend told me about kbs and since then I've been listening to you.

    I'm a fan of SS501, U-KISS, and 2NE1. But mostly of SS501, they're the reason why I became a kpop lover.

    Love Ya!!! ^_^

  5. Hi Angie,
    Happy first anniversary!
Stumbled upon KBS World Radio while surfing on the Net back in 2003. Can remember when Sue Park was hosting the show before Sarah Jun took over with Chris Dykas and the show keeps getting better and better.
Kudos to you, Young, Sophia, Min young and the nameless engineer who handles the technical stuff!

    Cheers and Happy Belated Seollal!

  7. Hey Angie,

This is a shout out from Stephanie in Illinois!

I found the show when I was browsing the KBS website looking for Kpop reccommendations, since I'd recently become interested in my own Korean heritage. Now I'm a regular listener. Reading and listening to your translations of Kpop songs has helped me with learning the language.

My favourite group is Big Bang.

  8. Hiii Angie,

This is a shout out from the Netherlands!
I'm originally from Hong Kong. I was a vip (bigbang) at first but then I became a triple s (ss501).. changed into a shawol(SHINee) and now I'm an elf (Super Junior) for almost a year.

I missed 2-3 weeks of kpi lately *sobs*
I always listen to kpi on my ipod but I keep missing it or I tune in too late. Now I listen to kpc too sometimes, love to hear you and the dj young chitchat about kpop(news) etc. ^^

  10. Hey Angie,

This is Max from Tinley Park, Illinois. It is a suburb of Chicago. Glad I'm not the only person from Illinois that listens to KPI/KPC(Hello Stephanie!) :) So far I've only been an official Wonderful but love most of the K-Pop groups out there. And as most people who listen regularly know I'm a huge fan of the unknown groups and artists. My hope is that though your show more people will get to know more about Korea and Korean artists! Congrats on your first year anniversary and keep up the good work. Here's hoping we get to hear you for years to come.

    Max

  11. Hello,
I haven't posted for a while due to school, but I'm back! Shout out from California! I started out as a primadonna due to Jeremy (Lee HongKi) in "You're Beautiful", became a VIP and hottest, and then a black jack. So I guess when put together I'm the "hottest-VI-prima-jack" or whatever.^^ I'm sure the name would be a lot longer if a added ALL of my favorite groups. Sorry for not tuning in for a while, hope you are doing well!
