Your Two Cents: What Do You Think About Seo Taiji & Lee Ji-ah???

As you all know, the main headline in kpop is the situation between Seo Taiji and Lee Ji-ah. If you don't know catch up here!

So what do you all think?? Who's the "bad person" in this situation? the victim? Personally, I'm feeling sorry for Jung Woo-sung!!! Also, a lot of people around me are gossiping, "Wow...Lee Ji-ah can kiss her career goodbye!" Do you agree with this? Do you think it's kind of dramatic for Korean media to butcher her up like this? How come Seo Taiji's not getting the bad limelight? What do you think would be the best way for her to handle this with as little repercussions as possible? For example, lay low for about a year and then make a dramatic comeback? Make a public apology and keep going strong?

I would love to hear what all of her INTERNATIONAL listeners have to say. It'd be nice to get some objective viewpoints on this matter.

Have a great week! And don't forget, this month is the LAST month for our CD drawings!!! To enter, email angela@kbs.co.kr your full name, correct address, and at least TWO kpop cds that you would like to receive!

  1. Hey Angie,

Oh wow! That's a crazy story. I think that they were too rushed to get married in the first place. Also, if they were married, they should have spent more time together, walking, going places, etc. I couldn't imagine being away from Sophie.
So although, I don't think it was a good idea for Seo Taiji to go to Korea by himself, I don't think either one is more to blame than the other. I think it's the agencies that are to blame for making them hide their relationship and not letting them express their love publicly.
I think that angencies' fears of how relationships will affect celebrities' popularity shouldn't take precedents over the relationship and the other's feelings.
However, I do agree with you. I feel so bad for Jung Woo Sung.

    Thanks and God Bless,

    Paul T.

  2. what do you mean "the agencies that are to blame", so you think Lee Ji Ah's agency and Seo taiji are to blame??.. I said because Seo Taji's agency is "Seo Taiji Company" I mean, he's the boss of the company, evryone else in his company know only what the boss wants.

And I can't give an opinion about Lee Ji Ah, but I think we must respect private lifes, and for Seo Taiji... he's untouchable!!! haha

  3. Hi angie

    How was your week??!!

This is the most complicated love story I ever heard of ... to me I still can’t figure it out ...??!!

I think there is no single reasons lead the both to this situation ... there’s lots of factor in my opinion: hiding their life and living apart … etc.
I think these entire factors could cause a gap between any personals even if they were friends

In my opinion for both should complete this lawsuit and take a break for a while and comeback with new clear image..... And I think during this time the fans will get to know everything more and will not judge anyone of them more.....

I wish no one judge them more and support them ... even if it is hard for some fans

    All my support to them

Have a nice week angie :)

  4. Hi Angie,

I don't understand why the female in the relationship is getting all the flak as implied by your blog post. Am only hearing what's been reported on the news but gather that there has been a storm of criticism directed at Lee Ji-ah and hardly any for Seo. Not that I care to lay blame at anyone. It's nobody's business but their own.

Just want to echo a friend's words: "Now if Jung Woo-sung had been smart enough to have instead a relationship with non-controversial, totally unfamous but ever-so-devoted me, he wouldn't be suffering such heartbreak now."

    JWS, are you listening?

    Cheers,
    Selene

  5. To be honest I think this situation should not have been broadcast in the first place. I think a divorce or marriage is a private matter. However, what is perplexing is the fact that nobody knew that he was married for so long. I mean he is not obliged to hold a press conference to tell everybody who and when he's is getting married but to hid it like something to be ashamed of is wrong. And yes I will have to blame the girl. Obviously he's a dick for even putting her through that, but she went with so willingly. Any girl who choose to lose her dignity over love or money deserve the outcome and all the humiliation that comes with it. Needless to say that as a girl i don't like how Korean society leans toward the male side. However though women like her who choose to give up what makes them human and their very existence to follow a man does not merit any sympathy I'm not saying they way the media is shredding her to pieces is right, but she should have known better.
